Activity Overview

The Cape Cod Symposium on Addiction Disorders will occur as an in-person experience September 5–8, 2024.

To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must attend the full activity and submit a completed evaluation form. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the live event will receive immediate documentation of credit.

Intended Learners

This activity is designed for all behavioral or allied health professionals, CEOs, presidents and vice presidents, directors, other C-suite executives, physicians, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, alcohol and drug counselors, mental health counselors, clinical counselors, collegiate recovery and professional monitoring organizations, EAPs, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, peer supporters, recovery coaches, sober living operators, and staff.

AAPAHMP Education has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria. PAs should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. This live activity is designated for 25.5 AAPA Category 1 credits.

This continuing nursing education activity will award 25.5 contact hours.

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME. 

PSYCHOLOGISTS

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

SOCIAL WORKERS

ACE LogoAs a Jointly Accredited Organization, HMP Education is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this live course receive 25.5 general continuing education credits. 

 

MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPISTS

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, HMP Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The APA preapproves New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Washington D.C., for Marriage and Family Therapy credit. ADDICTION COUNSELORS

This course has been approved by HMP Global, as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits. NAADAC Provider #182840.  HMP Global is responsible for all aspects of the programming. 

Requirements for Credit

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session(s) and overall conference evaluations, and post-test(s), if applicable. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Your certificate may not load if you are accessing it from a smartphone, or settings of your browser do not allow for a new tab/window to open.  

Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians and pharmacists may elect for credits to be submitted on their behalf to their boards via additional fields that will appear within the Claim Certificate page. Credits must be submitted through this process to be reported to the American Board of Surgery and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
