Alopecia areata (AA) is often associated with comorbidities and poor quality of life. To help enhance the management of this challenging autoimmune condition, a disease severity classification tool was recently developed to provide a holistic evaluation of patients. This session will examine some of the traditional treatment options for AA, as well as the newer use of JAK inhibitors, which have been shown to help reduce inflammation and regrow hair quickly.
