Susan is the vice president of clinical innovation at AON and oversees the clinical programming function that includes care plan design, care program implementation and monitoring, and clinical integration with payers and providers.

She has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. Previously, she was the executive director of clinical strategy at Oncology Consultants in Houston, Texas, where she developed and implemented innovative clinical strategies and policies that led to the growth of the company. Susan has created clinical and operations protocols for all levels of practice to promote value-based care initiatives in both commercial and non-commercial payer populations. She has established an appropriate framework and oversight, including input into growth, strategy, resourcing, and decision-making to innovate around consumer-focused oncology programs. Developing a community-based oncology navigation program and collaborating to implement a fully integrated initiative to address social determinants of health within the practice has been significant in her role.

Susan currently sits on the COA Administrators Network Board (CAN), the COA Patient Advocacy Network (CPAN) Advisory Panel and the Houston Cancer Health Equity Collaborative. She is an advisor to the Health Equity & Access Committee for the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology (TxSCO) and sits on the COA Health Equity Committee. 

Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, she has the Nurse Executive Advanced Certification and has held the Oncology Nurse Certification for 16 years.
