Mishellene McKinney is the Vice President of Cancer Care Services for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals.

Ms. McKinney leads the transformation of Kaiser Permanente’s delivery of evidence-based, outcomes-driven cancer care services and elevating KP’s reputation as a leading cancer care organization. Her clinical background is in oncology nursing. Prior to joining KP, Ms. McKinney was the Director of Clinical Pathways and Implementation Science at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY. She also held several positions in nursing administration including Assistant Director of Patient Care Services during her 15-year tenure at Roswell Park.

For 8 years, Ms. McKinney moderated and chaired the Clinical Pathways Forum, a community of pathways professionals from cancer centers across the United States and Canada who are utilizing clinical pathways in their practices and institutions to improve cancer care. She is a column writer and serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Clinical Pathways.

Ms. McKinney holds a Master of Science degree in Health Administration from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College in Boston, MA and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economic Development from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. She is a graduate of the Implementation Science Training Program at the University of California, San Francisco, CA and is an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Prior to beginning her career in nursing, she worked for 10 years in financial services, audit and consulting.
