Cynthia Trickett has been a Physician Assistant since 1995 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science from the Univeristy of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. She practiced Family Medicine for approximately 3 years in Houston, Texas before transferring into Dermatology in 1998. In 2000, she earned a Master of Science in PA Studies with a concentration in Dermatology from The University of Nebraska. She is an adjunct faculty member for the PA Departments with both the University of Texas Southwestern and the University of North Texas. She has guest lectured for the National Psoriasis Foundation and lectures to Dermatology practitioners nationally on psoriatic disease. In 2018, she was presented with the prestigious America’s Top PA award by her peers. She received the Service Award from the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants in 2023.
Cynthia treats most general dermatology concerns but her passion is for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and other chronic inflammatory diseases, and is considered an expert in her field. She frequently consults with physicians across the United States on complex cases.
Cynthia joined the US Air Force in 1990, serving in the Air Force Reserves and the Texas Air National Guard as a PA. She retired after 33 years with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, World War II history, and works with the Ronald McDonald House of San Antonio.
She is a member of the American Academy of PAs, the Texas Academy of PAs, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
