Dr. Candrice Heath most recently served as Assistant Professor of Dermatology, Director of Pediatric Dermatology, and the inaugural Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Physician Faculty Scholar at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor (Adjunct) in the Center for Urban Bioethics at Temple. She is triple board certified in Dermatology, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Dermatology, and treats both children and adults.

She earned her undergraduate from Wake Forest University and her medical degree from the University of Virginia. Dr. Heath completed her pediatric residency at Emory University, followed by dermatology research fellowships and a dermatology residency at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt in New York City, and a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Heath is a nationally recognized speaker and researcher in pediatric and adult dermatology. She has held leadership roles, including Chair for the PeDRA, Skin of Color and Pigmentary Disorders Focus Group, Faculty Advisor for Temple University’s Center for Anti-Racism, and Vice Chair for Research in Temple University's Dermatology Department. She received the 2022 Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Award and the 2023 Skin of Color Society Career Development Award for her research in scarring alopecia. Her clinical interests include atopic dermatitis, inflammatory scarring alopecias, especially in pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients with skin of color. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Heath enjoys time with her husband and bonus daughter. She is excited about her upcoming move to Washington DC, to join the faculty at Howard University.
