Dr. Paul Banerjee is the Medical Director of Polk County Fire Rescue and an Associate professor at The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as a Assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Central Florida and NOVA Southeastern University. He completed his residency at Henry Ford Health Systems in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine in 2000. Dr. Banerjee is currently on staff at multiple local hospitals. In 2012, Dr. Banerjee was named the State of Florida Medical Director of the year and in 2018, he received the Early Career Investigator Award for Achievement in Research from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. In 2017, Dr. Banerjee was honored with the prestigious “EMS10 Innovator of the Year” award in EMS and was recognized accordingly by the Journal of Emergency Medical Services.
