Noa Biran, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Hackensack University School of Medicine. She joined the Multiple Myeloma Division at John Theurer Cancer Center in September 2014.
Dr. Biran previously served as Chief Fellow of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, where she also practiced in their internal medicine internship and residency. She received her medical degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Biran is an active faculty member and is involved in numerous lecture series and training sessions for medical students, residents, fellows, and nurse practitioners.
Dr. Biran is actively involved with clinical research focusing on multiple myeloma. Her focus is on high-risk myeloma, harnessing immune-based strategies for treatment, as well as quality of life. Her work has been presented at international and national conferences such as the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. She is widely published in hematology and oncology journals such as Blood, The Lancet, and Bone Marrow Transplantation. She is the principal investigator of a number of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical studies and is an active speaker for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
