Nicholas Chiorazzi is a physician-scientist and Head of the Karches Center for Oncology Research in The Feinstein Institutes. He is also Professor of Molecular Medicine and of Medicine in the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Chiorazzi’s research interests revolve around understanding the activation and maturation of B lymphocytes in health and disease, especially in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Over the years, the Chiorazzi team has contributed impactful discoveries about the immunobiology of the leukemia cells in patients with CLL, and the group’s collective works led to Dr. Chiorazzi receiving the Binet-Rai medal from the International Workshops on CLL.
