Marcus is a Multiple Myeloma Pharmacotherapy Specialist in the outpatient clinic at Mount Sinai Hospital. He graduated from Rutgers' Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in New Jersey and completed a post-graduate residency at MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio. He was previously an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey, where he completed research projects regarding supportive care issues in oncology such as anticoagulation. His most recent study was a retrospective review of the appropriateness of enoxaparin dosing for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis in obese patients at his institution. Additionally, he has helped develop multiple continuing education programs on oncology topics including genitourinary cancers, colorectal cancer, and multiple myeloma. In his current role, he collaborates with the myeloma team to formulate appropriate treatment regimens based on patient co-morbidities and concurrent medications, as well as educates patients regarding their treatment plans. Additionally, he reviews Epic protocols and assists in updating guidelines and policies to promote optimal patient outcomes.
