Monica Richey is a graduate of Hunter College School of Nursing. She received her BSN in 2002 and her MSN in 2009. She has spent 19 years of her career working in rheumatology. She received her training at the Hospital for Special Surgery and was part of the Lupus Center of Excellence, where she developed several patient education programs, including cardiovascular disease prevention, contraception, and preventive health. She served as the advocacy chair as part of the board of Directors of the Rheumatology Nurses Society (RNS) and is currently serving as faculty for the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers.
