Steven Hicks is a physician scientist at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He received his MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he also completed his residency in pediatrics. As a general pediatrician, Dr. Hicks provides continuity of care for children from birth through adolescence. Dr. Hicks uses his PhD training in neurogenetics to examine how environmental and genetic factors intersect to influence child growth and development. His lab focuses on molecular biomarkers for concussion and autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Hicks has served as a scientific advisory board member for Spectrum Solutions, Quadrant Biosciences and the Metradora Foundation. He recently served on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Newborn Screening Committee.
