Fadi A. Saab, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist specializing in endovascular revascularization of peripheral vascular disease, with a particular interest in critical limb ischemia (CLI). He also specializes in treating venous insufficiency and cardiac issues, including high blood pressure and carotid artery disease.
Dr. Saab earned his medical degree from the Damascus University School of Medicine, Syria, and completed an internal medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center-Sinai Grace Hospital, affiliated with Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. He then completed a cardiology outcome research fellowship at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; a noninvasive cardiology fellowship at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Detroit, MI; and fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at Baystate Medical Center, affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine, Springfield, MA.
Dr. Saab is currently Medical Director of Endovascular Therapy and Director of Cardiovascular Research at Michigan Outpatient Vascular Institute in Dearborn, MI.
Dr. Saab has participated in more than 20 clinical research studies and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. He is a Course Director of the Amputation Prevention Symposium, an international conference focusing on CLI therapy.
A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography & Interventions, and the American Society of Echocardiography, Dr. Saab is also a member of the Critical Limb Ischemia Global Society.
