Dr. Margaret Emerson is an Associate Professor for the University of Nebraska Medical Center and an ANCC board certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Emerson specializes in the delivery of Integrated Care. She currently serves as a psychiatric consultant and advisor for several institutions seeking to deliver and implement Integrated Care. Her research focus is on the use of technology to augment Integrated Care environments to meet the needs of the underserved or for those who experience health disparities. She is currently the Principal Investigator for sevearl research grants exploring the use of mobile technology to address trauma, depression, anxiety or education needs related to mobile technology. She is also an expert panelist for the American Psychiatric Association App Advisory Panel. In this role she has contributed to the American Psychiatric Association App Evaluation Framework and Model Screener.
