Dr. Rachel Dalthorp is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. In 2014 she founded a women's mental health practice called Balance Women’s Health and in 2020, became a member of the LifeStance clinical team. She is a founding board member of the International Society of Reproductive Psychiatry, a nonprofit organization created to advocate for reproductive psychiatry education and improved access to services for patients.
Dr. Dalthorp earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center followed by a 4-year psychiatric residency in which she focused on gaining expertise in the treatment of women with hormone related mood disorders and sexual dysfunction. She completed specialized training in the interventional use of certain psychotropic medications approved to treat major depressive disorder and postpartum depression, participated in a sexual health preceptorship program at the Medical Center for Female Sexuality, holds a perinatal mental health certification and regularly attends and presents at educational conferences related to the field of reproductive psychiatry and women’s mental health. Dr. Dalthorp enjoyes providing teaching and consultation to medical professionals interested in caring for women with reproductive hormone related mood disorders.
