Dr. Khanjan 'KJ' Nagarsheth is a vascular surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Nagarsheth is board certified in Vascular Surgery, General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He completed his general surgery training at the University of Tennessee, his critical care fellowship at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, acute care surgery fellowship at the University of Maryland and vascular surgery fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell. Dr. Nagarsheth obtained his MBA at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Dr. Nagarsheth serves as the Vice Chairman for Clinical Operations in the Department of Surgery and is the medical director of the Limb Preservation Program, Vascular Compressions Program, Pulmonary Embolism Response Team, Office Based Laboratories, outpatient Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratories, Vascular Surgery Progressive Care Unit and the NIH Core Laboratory for CREST-2. He is the Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency and Associate Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship at UMMC. Dr. Nagarsheth has over 80 peer reviewed publication and over 50 textbook chapters. He is the editor of a textbook on Vascular Compression syndromes and is on the Editorial board of a number of journals. Dr. Nagarsheth is an active mentor to dozens of students, residents and fellows across the country. He is an expert in the field of limb preservation from revascularization to wound care and has a passion for decreasing healthcare disparities.
