Dr. Pradeep K. Nair is an interventional cardiologist and Director of the Vein Program at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South. A native of western Pennsylvania, he graduated with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Psychology. He earned his medical doctorate at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Presbyterian Campus where he was recognized with several awards of distinction for his cardiovascular research. He went on to complete an advanced endovascular interventional fellowship under the mentorship of Craig Walker at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South.
Dr. Nair is licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He serves on the Horizon's International Peripheral Group, sits on the editorial board for Vascular Disease Management and is section editor for New Technologies. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed research publications, book chapters, presented and performed live cases at numerous national cardiovascular meetings. Having a keen clinical research interest in novel interventional devices and therapies, he is dedicated to supporting the advancement of our field, fighting disease, and improving patient outcomes.
