Dr Jeffrey G. Carr is an Interventional Cardiologist and Endovascular Specialist. He is the Founding and Past President of the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society (OEIS), a multispecialty medical society. He launched and currently serves as the Medical Director of the OEIS National Registry. He has promoted appropriate use, safety, outcomes measures, credentialing and peer review processes in these freestanding cardiovascular centers. He is the physician founder of the Cardiovascular Coalition which is dedicated to raising awareness for PAD and advocating for national healthcare policy and amputation prevention. He meets with CMS policy makers and multiple congressional leaders advocating for patient access to coronary, vascular and venous care in office interventional suites and ambulatory surgery centers.
He has been dedicated and remains active in clinical device and pharmacologic research leading dozens of trials for over 30 years. He serves as faculty educator for multiple companies and organizations teaching throughout the US. He also serves on several cardiac and peripheral interventional medical advisory boards providing innovation, business and pipeline consulting.
He served as Chief Medical Officer for Venclose, Inc. and helped develop and gain FDA approval for a novel interventional venous device for incompetent perforators (Maven). He is national and international faculty for chronic vein care and lectures on comprehensive lower extremity vascular care. His practice site is a Center of Excellence for live case preceptorships and training for arterial and venous interventions. He practices full time at CHRISTUS Health Heart and Vascular Institute in Tyler, Texas.
