Brian Ball
MD, MS
Assistant Professor
City of Hope

I am an academic clinical researcher at City of Hope National Medical Center in the department of hematology and hematopoietic cell transplantation. I completed my medical school training at Georgetown, internal medicine residency at Yale and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. My research focuses on the development of personalized therapies to improve outcomes for patients with myeloid malignancies and to prevent relapse after allogeneic stem cell transplant. I am interested in determining molecular biomarkers of response and resistance to myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia therapies. I also develop and lead clinical trials evaluating therapies and combinations targeting molecularly defined subgroups.
