I am a hematologist/oncologist at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine with a translational and clinical research interest in lung cancer. I began my research career in 2011 when I joined Genentech; at that time, immunotherapies were not yet approved for the treatment of lung cancer. This early exposure to the potential of new therapeutics sparked my passion for lung cancer research. In addition to industry reserach experience, my career path has been enriched by laboratory experience at Georgetown and Memorial Sloan Kettering, and through mentorship from thoracic oncologists inlcuding Giuseppe Giaccone, Ron Natale, and Edward Garon. I completed my internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and my hematology/oncology fellowship at UCLA.
