Dr. Floor Backes is a gynecologic oncologist and tenured Professor at The Ohio State University and James Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is fully committed to provide the best care for her patients through a combination of excellent clinical care, developing and collaborating on clinical trials and translational research projects, in order to give our patients opportunities for and access to improved and novel treatments. She has a strong interest in the development of novel therapies for gynecologic cancers and clinical trials and has experience in developing and leading clinical trials at her institution and nationally. She is a co-investigator on federally funded research, principle investigator for multiple investigator initiated trials and national cooperative group trials, and local PI for several NCI as well as industry sponsored trials. She serves as the Director of Research and Disease Specific Research Group leader for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, and as the Co-Chair of the Developmental Therapeutics Committee for NRG Oncology and Board Member for the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
