Christina Washington, MD is currently an Assistant Professor in the dept of OBGYN, Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Washington graduated from Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, GA where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She went on to obtain her MD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2012. She then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 2016. She is also currently enrolled in the Master’s of Clinical and Translational Science through the School of Public Health. Her master’s and fellowship thesis was focused on evaluating food deserts, food swamps, and water supply in the state of Oklahoma and how that relates to gynecologic cancer patients outcomes. She is on the various committees for national organizations. Her research goals are to improve research around cancer prevention, cancer disparities, and advocating for vulnerable populations. She is a recipient of the Robert A Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Career Development Award, funded by Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation. Her interests also include developing trials to improve outcomes in patients with gynecologic cancers.
