Dr. Naumann received his medical degree from the University of Alabama, where he also completed his OB/GYN residency and gynecologic oncology fellowship. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. Dr. Naumann works in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) at Atrium Health/Wake Forest University where he is currently the Director of Research in Gynecologic Oncology and the Associate Director of Clinical Trials. He has an interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and developed the minimally invasive surgery program in gynecologic oncology at LCI. His research interest includes targeted therapy in ovarian cancer and immune therapy in cervical cancer where has been the PI on several international trials. He has been active in the Society for Gynecologic Oncology where he severed as the chair of the education committee and has served as a member of the board of directors. He is currently on the SGO Foundation Board and is the Co-director of the Winter SGO Meeting. He is involved in the Gynecologic Oncology Group (NRG Oncology) where he has served as a member of the uterine corpus committee, the developmental therapeutics committee and currently the Chair of the Business Develop Committee. In addition, he is the Co-Director of the Education 360 Platform for the International Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
