Kathleen Ragan

Kathleen Ragan is a health scientist in the Division of Overdose Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She served as the guideline coordinator and is a co-author of the 2022 CDC Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain. Prior to her current role, Kathleen provided scientific support to CDC’s Division of Cancer Prevention and Control as a research fellow.

Kathleen received an MSPH in global epidemiology from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, a BS in health education from Georgia College, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
