Leigh Ann de Monredon is a Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the field of substance use disorders for over 15 years. She is based in New Orleans, LA and currently works as Director of MAT Services for Access Health, LA offering the state's first FQHC based Virtual MAT/SUD clinic reaching 14 rural parishes. Most notably, she established primary care into the states's largest treatment center after Hurricane Katrina which garnered attention from Surgeon General Vivek Murthy. She has worked to bring awareness to stigma bias, Harm Reduction and SUD services to numerous FQHCs under her leadership. Her practice comes from a non-biased belief in guiding individuals to optimal health through harm reduction, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and providing tools of empowerment that promote overall well being. She has been working within disenfranchised communities throughout her career advocating for equal access to resources by working with judges, numerous Boards, agencies, prisoner re-entry programming and peer collaborations.
