Brian S. Myer, MD graduated from medical school at Albany Medical College, followed by general surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He then completed a surgical critical care fellowship and acute care surgery fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland. Since then he has worked at Regions Hospital as a member of HealthPartners Medical Group, practicing all facets of acute care surgery. He is currently the director of the Regions emergency general surgery service and is active within the University of Minnesota general surgery residency as one of the associate program directors. He has a particular interest in soft tissue infections and optimizing patient outcomes while also developing systems to most efficiently care for these complex patients.
