Dr. Kwong is an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner and professor in the Division of Advanced Nursing Practice at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of HIV treatment and prevention. He currently serves as a CDC HIV Clinical Ambassador and is the Co-Medical Director for the American Academy of HIV Medicine's HIV-Age Initiative. He has published and presented on HIV care and LGBT primary care. He received his nurse practitioner training from the University of California San Francisco and completed his doctorate degree from the University of Colorado. He is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.
