Sarah is a board-certified child and adult psychiatrist and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UMass Chan Medical School–Baystate. She provides consultation in interventional psychiatry, integrated behavioral health, and psychiatric care in pediatric and emergency settings. She is also the co-owner of HS Psychiatry, specializing in ketamine-assisted treatments for psychiatric disorders.
Active in medical education, Sarah teaches child psychiatry to pediatric, family medicine, and psychiatry residents, as well as child psychiatry fellows at Baystate Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her intern year in internal medicine at Suburban Community Hospital, where she was recognized for excellence in emergency medicine. She trained in adult psychiatry at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, serving as House Staff President and receiving an award for excellence in teaching. She completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she served as clinical chief fellow.
Sarah has pursued specialized training in psychedelic-assisted therapies, earning certifications in Psychedelic Treatments and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies and MDMA-assisted therapy through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). She also has expertise in Grof breathwork, ketamine, cannabis, and cranial osteopathy.
Her clinical interests focus on interventional psychiatry for transitional-aged youth and treatment-resistant conditions. She is passionate about family-based intervention models and exploring emerging treatments—such as ketamine, psilocybin, and MDMA—and their risks and benefits in the young adult population.
