Dr. MeLeigha Milby is a dedicated pharmacist with over a decade of experience serving her community in central Kentucky. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Campbellsville University & earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Sullivan University College of Pharmacy. Dr. Milby’s passion for advancing interdisciplinary clinical pharmacy services for her hometown led her to open the doors to a community pharmacy with her business partner Nelda Eads in 2019. In 2021 they co-founded Hometown Connect, a 501C3 healthcare ministry that addresses key gaps in the fabric of the community that are barriers for healthy, thriving individuals. In 2022 their vision expanded even further as they opened a nationally accredited specialty pharmacy, Hometown Specialty Pharmacy & Hometown Healthcare. What started as a small, community, retail pharmacy has now grown to be what is now known as Hometown Health System. Dr. Milby serves as CEO for Hometown Health System & the President of Hometown Connect. Dr. Milby is dedicated to advancing the field of pharmacy and has been broadly recognized and awarded through the work she is championing. In 2022 she was awarded Innovative Pharmacist of the Year by the Kentucky Pharmacist Association & has received many accolades through the Chamber of Commerce and community leadership in Central Kentucky. Her heart is to inspire other medical professionals and pharmacists to evoke radical quality of care improvements, outcomes driven equitable healthcare advancements, and put Kentucky on the map for leading the country through innovative advancements for patient-centered, whole person healthcare.
