Dr. Shelli Yearsley is a licensed social worker, licensed addiction counselor, and adjunct professor with 20+ years of professional experience. Dr. Yearsley is an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University and the University of South Dakota and owns and operates a private practice where she specializes in co-occurring diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Yearsley serves adolescents and adults in private practice who struggle with addiction-related disorders.

Dr. Yearsley serves as a board member of the Utah Social Work Association (UTSWA). She graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a Doctorate in Behavioral Health. She earned her master’s degree in social work and clinical therapy from New Mexico Highlands University. As a lifelong learner, she has certified credentialing in multiple therapeutic modalities including EMDR, DBT, and ACT. In 2023, she launched a YouTube channel, @dr.shelliyearsley, to address access to care barriers and mental health stigma.

Dr. Yearsley enjoys creative writing, golf, travel, and photography. Thirty years ago, she married her college sweetheart and they have two grown children.
