Dave has spent over 25 years as an owner, operator and senior executive in Behavioral Health organizations. He is a popular national speaker and recognized as an Industry expert in Addiction Treatment.

For the past several years Dave has served as the CEO for multiple large multi-state, multi-site Private Equity owned Behavioral Health corporations. Dave has managed staffs of over 800 employees, budgets over 100 million, and all payor mixes of cash, private and public insurance providing all levels of care from detox to outpatient.

As Founder of an industry leading Behavioral Health consulting firm clients have included private and institutional investors with projects focusing on merger & acquisitions, due diligence, operational and market strategy, specializing in treatment center financial and operations efficiency.

Before beginning the consulting venture, he was owner of San Cristobal Treatment Center outside Taos, New Mexico. Dave’s innovative approach combined Twelve-Step modalities with unique outdoor adventures in a long-term program, eventually leading to him negotiating its sale in 2011.

Dave has been in personal recovery since 1996, attempting to practice what he preaches. He has been married for over 20 years, he and his wife are the parents of one daughter. He holds a BA from Elmhurst College and a Masters in Education Leadership and Administration from Northern Arizona University.
