Christian Arthur

Christian Arthur manages the opioid settlement assessment for the Boston Public Health Commission, working with a team to collect and analyze data from listening sessions, surveys, long-form responses, and public health indicators. For four years he has worked at the Office of Recovery Services, which leads substance use and recovery policy at the Boston Public Health Commission.

As the Senior Policy and Strategy Specialist, Christian broadly contributes to policy and planning, in addition to managing a portfolio that includes launching a CDC Overdose Data to Action LOCAL grant and implementing public health vending machines. He leverages experience in programming and data science and is passionate about using technology to make public health more effective, efficient, and fair. Christian is also a person in recovery, who has over three years experience working in direct services such as residential treatment, peer support, and youth and young adult services. He holds a Master's in Public Health and Master's in Social Work from Boston University, and is licensed to practice clinical social work in Massachusetts.
