Stephanie Barajas is an epidemiologist in the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program at the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County, FL. Ms. Barajas earned her bachelor’s degree in health administration from Florida Atlantic University and her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health promotion and disease prevention from Florida International University. She began her career in HIV prevention and then entered the field of drug overdose data collection. Of special interest to Ms. Barajas are the connections among substance use disorder, other comorbidities, and social determinants of health. As the substance use disorder crisis evolves, she is engaged in analysis of data on emerging drug threats.
