Delesha Carpenter is Professor and Executive Vice Chair of the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her educational background includes clinical training in respiratory therapy and public health. She is particularly interested in increasing pharmacist provision of harm reduction services, especially in rural areas. She is the director of RURAL-CP, a rural community pharmacy practice based reserach network with over 150 pharmacies across the Southeast. Two of her current projects focus on improving naloxone and buprenorphine access in rural community pharmacies. She has authored more than 160 peer-reviewed publications and her funding portfolio includes projects supported by government agencies, private foundations, and industry.
