Dr. Nancy Young is the Executive Director of the Center for Children and Family Futures, a research and policy institute whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect while improving safety, permanency, well-being and recovery outcomes with equity for all children, parents and families affected by trauma, substance use and mental health disorders. Since 2002, she has served as Project Director of the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW), co-funded by the Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF), Children’s Bureau (CB) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Dr. Young holds both a PhD and an MSW from the University of Southern California School of Social Work.
