Anna is a seasoned public health professional specializing in primary prevention, overdose response, substance use, and suicide prevention. Prior to her current role, Anna served as a Drug Free Communities Prevention Coordinator for the Town of Stratford and a Prevention Specialist for Alliance for Prevention and Wellness, a program of BHcare, where she made significant contributions to health promotion and community coalitions. Anna holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University. She is a Certified Prevention Specialist, reflecting her robust expertise in the field. She has completed several notable programs such as CADCA's National Coalition Academy and Medication for Opioid Use Disorder project, as well as Foundations of Dialogue Education by Global Learning Partners. As an Adult, Youth and Public Safety Mental Health First Aid instructor, she utilizes her vast knowledge to educate individuals on how to respond in a mental health crisis and offer support to someone who appears to be in emotional distress. Anna is the current President of the CT Association of Prevention Professionals, a role that allows her to guide and inspire fellow professionals in the field of prevention. Anna serves as a subject matter expert providing technical assistance on the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services' Evidence-based Workgroup and CT Alcohol and Drug Policy Council, including Prevention and Criminal Justice sub-committees.
