John Pellicane

John Pellicane is the Camden County, NJ Department of Health & Human Services, Director of the Office of Mental Health & Addiction (OMHA). He was initially hired as Director of Alcohol and Drug Abuse in 2012 and was appointed to additionally serve as the Mental Health Administrator in 2017. Mr. Pellicane holds an extensive amount of experience and knowledge working in mental health and substance use. Between 1990 – 2012, he held various positions as a case management specialist, Mental Health Associate, Counselor positions in Crisis, Vocational, and Substance Use, as well as Behavioral Health Marketing.

Upon the start of Mr. Pellicane’s position as Director, Camden County’s OMHA held two grants. Due to Mr. Pellicane’s dedication and expertise in program development, OMHA now oversees six grants associated with 36 separate contracts: including launch 12 pilot programs through use of the pharmaceutical settlement funds. Additionally, on behalf of the County, he has secured supplementary grants from the CDC Foundation, National Association of County and City Health Officials, NJ Division of Mental Health & Addiction and High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA). Mr. Pellicane is a former Vice-Chair of the NJ Behavioral Health Planning Council and past President of the NJ Association of County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors. Currently, he is an appointed member of the Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force, Youth Services Commission, and Opioid Advisory Committee for the pharmaceutical lawsuit proceeds. Mr. Pellicane is a leader in his county.
