Kathleen Aarvig has seven years of experience in behavioral health research, with a focus on substance use. She received a Master of Public Health from Texas A&M University and has worked as a researcher and data analyst in nonprofit and public sectors. Ms. Aarvig is currently working as a Social Science Analyst for Office of Treatment Services (OTS), Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality (CBHSQ), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency (SAMHSA) on the Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN), a nationwide public health surveillance system that captures data on emergency department visits related to recent substance use and misuse.
