Alicia is the State Opioid Response Project Director at the Minnesota Department of Human Services, where she leads comprehensive efforts to combat opioid addiction and enhance strategies for substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery across the state. With over 15 years of experience in health promotion and public health, Alicia specializes in substance use, focusing on supporting innovative, evidence-based solutions to improve community health outcomes and mitigate the impact of opioid misuse in Minnesota. Alicia holds a master’s degree in psychology from Marshall University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Kentucky. Before joining the Minnesota Department of Human Services, she gained valuable experience in higher education and non-profit sectors, where she provided substance use prevention services to youth and young adults.
