John developed the Spike Alert Response Plan (SARP) to ensure fast and accurate relay of life-saving information to law enforcement partners as well as community and recovery resources. John has become a recovery coach to help deliver the message that law enforcement cares about helping those with substance use disorder (SUD).

John graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree. He served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, receiving a Bronze Star Medal during his service. John recently completed his master’s degree in criminal justice.
