Dr. Childerhose is a Research Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine with appointments to the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Division of Bioethics. She holds a courtesy appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics to the Division of Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She investigates the ethical and translational challenges of implementing clinical and community-based interventions for stigmatized and marginalized populations. Her primary focus is overdose prevention in a contaminated North American supply environment. She is a Co-Investigator with the NIDA-funded HEALing Communities Study and leads the NIDA-funded Stay Safe Study for Ohio. She was selected as a member of The Ohio State University Society of Fellows (2024-25) for her project, “The Overdose Stories.”
