Ailala Kay (she/her), MA, is OMNI’s Director of Learning and Development and has been with OMNI since 2004 and has overseen the provision of statewide training, technical assistance and coaching to prevention and early intervention organizations for over 19 years, with over 22 years of experience building relationships, networks, and trust for effective prevention substance use disorder efforts with rural, urban, and frontier coalitions and providers. She has provided coaching, training, evaluation and facilitation services to multiple state and local government agencies, foundations, and non-profits, with particular expertise in developing, leading and managing strategic planning, implementation, evaluation training, and facilitation projects, broadly focused on community health, substance use prevention and behavioral health, responsive to areas of health equity, culture, and other needs of each community. She has worked on several Opioid-related projects, including as the lead facilitator for Colorado’s Region 4 Opioid Council, North Carolina’s Region A Opioid Strategic Planning project, and has also facilitated trainings for grantees across the nation receiving HRSA’s Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) funding. She is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, certified coach through Erickson Coaching International, certified in Effective Facilitator Strategies, Keys to Sustainability (CAPT), and Communities that Care. Ms. Kay was also a key contributor to launching Colorado’s Certified Prevention Specialist II credential while working with the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium and is a founding member and past chair of the Colorado Prevention Certification Board.
