Kat Kelley (she/her) is the Lead Analyst for Syndemics on the HIV, STI, Viral Hepatitis, & Harm Reduction (HSHH) team at the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). In this role, Kat works with NACCHO’s local health department (LHD) members to advance innovative syndemic solutions to the intersecting epidemics of HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis, and substance use. Kat supports evidence generation and dissemination to identify and scale up implementation of best practices, fosters peer learning to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration between LHDs, and provides technical assistance to build sustainable public health programs.
Prior to this role, Kat was a Senior Program Analyst at NACCHO, which involved leading projects to build capacity for harm reduction monitoring and evaluation, scale up and evaluate the integration of harm reduction and STI services, and evaluate smoking supplies as a harm reduction strategy. Kat also held previous roles at NACCHO and PATH, where she supported coalition building and advocacy for global health research and development. Kat has a Bachelor of Science in International Health and Arabic from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Adolescent Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
