Dr. Tim Kummer is a prominent medical professional specializing in addressing the opioid crisis. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Marquette University and began his career in the emergency department in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His clinical experience extended to Moshi, Tanzania, and later to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Dr. Kummer earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, followed by an Emergency Medicine residency at HCMC and a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services. Currently, he serves as an Emergency Physician at HCMC and as the Medical Director of Mobile Integrated Health and Community Paramedicine for Hennepin EMS. In these roles, Dr. Kummer is actively involved in developing and implementing strategies to combat the opioid crisis, including innovative programs aimed at improving patient care and reducing opioid-related harm.
