Dr. Jennifer Lindon is the first female president of Hazard Community & Technical College (HCTC). She attended Hazard High School and Hazard Community College, earning an associate degree. Dr. Lindon then studied at Morehead State University, achieving a BBA with an emphasis in accounting, an MBA, and extensive coursework in computer information systems.
As a single mother, Dr. Lindon completed her doctorate in community college leadership from Mississippi State University, focused on assisting diverse individuals accessing higher education.
At HCTC, Dr. Lindon has spearheaded initiatives to lower educational costs and broaden access. Dr. Lindon is also active in community efforts across HCTC's region serving on several boards, including the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program and the Southeast Kentucky Economic Development Corporation. Her work with the Kentucky Community & Technical College System and Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. focuses on regional economic and workforce development, including workforce training programs for those in recovery and re- entry.
