Dave Morgan has been a pharmacist for almost 50 years. He graduated in 1978 from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He has owned and operated many pharmacies and other health care companies including Boston Home Infusion and Boston Home Medical. He also operated and managed the outpatient pharmacies at Beth Israel and Boston City hospitals. For the last 20 years, his pharmacy journey has been dealing with the opioid epidemic. He first became involved in 2001 when he refused to carry Oxycontin in his pharmacies. He has served on various task forces and committees, locally, regionally and nationally. He also worked part-time for the Norfolk County District Attorney under a federal grant that focused on decreasing prescription drug abuse and overdose deaths. He is currently a pharmacy consultant for an independent pharmacy in Boston. Dave served as a pharmacy consultant to the NIH Healing Communities study. Dave has attended all of the RxSummit conferences since its inception at Disney World in Florida.
