Darren Urada, Ph.D. focuses on applying scientific knowledge and evaluation methods to improve behavioral health policies and practices. He is currently the principal investigator of multiple studies including the evaluation of California's Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) waiver for substance use disorder services, which includes the Recovery Incentives Program: California's Contingency Management Benefit. Dr. Urada has worked for the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs (UCLA ISAP) since 1998 and has authored or co-authored about 150 journal articles, reports, and chapters during his career.
