Street Angels Founding Executive Co-Directors, Eva Welch and Shelly Sarasin, were born and raised in the City of Milwaukee and have deep roots in the community with an unwavering passion to improve the quality of life for those who are often marginalized and forgotten in today’s fast-moving society.

The Co-directors bring a mix of a combined 16 years of boots on the ground homeless outreach experience, a combined 18 years of nonprofit development and management experience, and receive ongoing education to improve the overall organizational sustainability and the quality of care provided to the community. Eva Welch has earned a B.A. with Cum Laude Honors for a double major in Psychology/Business Administration and both Co-Directors have recently earned a Certificate for Principles in Leadership Excellence through the human resources organization MRA. Both Co-Directors are also first aid/CPR certified and are continuously furthering their education in non-profit management and social service subjects through certificate courses offered by various educational organizations. Using this gained knowledge, Street Angels Co-Directors also provide trainings and presentations to volunteers, staff, NAMI CIT client trainings, community groups, agencies/organizations, schools, and other entities to create awareness about the issues surrounding homelessness and to also create trauma informed community members.
