Jennie Jarrett, PharmD, MMedEd, PhD is the Director of Science and Drug Policy at the American Medical Association (AMA). She received her BS and PharmD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to complete two years of residency. After years as a family medicine inpatient clinician at UPMC, she completed her master’s degree in medical education from the University of Pittsburgh and transitioned to a clinical researcher at the University of Illinois Chicago where she completed her PhD in Health Professions Education. At the AMA, her work focuses on improving patient care for patients with substance use disorders.
