Gabriele is the lead psychologist at the Foeldi Clinic – European Center of Lymphology in the Black Forest (Germany), where she has been working since 2013. 
At several German and international lymphology and phlebology conferences she lectured about lipedema, obesity, and obesity-related lymphedema – e.g. at the ILF in Nottingham (UK) 2023 and the UIP in Miami 2023. She also gave workshops for support groups as well as workshops for therapists. 
As co-author Gabriele published a series of articles "Lipedema – myths and facts” together with Dr. Tobias Bertsch. 

Gabriele is founding member and board member of the International Lipoedema Association (ILA) and member of the steering group of the new German S2k Guideline Lipedema that has been published in January 2024.

Her special working fields in the Foeldi Clinic are the treatment of lipedema patients, of lymphedema patients and the psychological assessment and treatment of obese patients within the interdisciplinary obesity program.
